What Does the Rain Bring?

Joe and I were watching the news a few night ago about all the pesky things that come out when we get alot of rain. They called them the 3 M's. Mosquitos, Moths, and Mushrooms. Yes, we have all of the M's over here. We pick the mushrooms by the hands full everyday, and 2 nights ago I was out pulling weeds at 8:45 pm and got 6 mosquito bites.

The news didn't mention one thing...... SNAILS! Here's the story.

We came home last night, around 8:30 after it had been raining. My girls hardly wait for the car to be fulling stopped before they jump out. Before I could get out of the car Lilli and Maggie were screaming, and freaking out about something in our rocks. So, I got out to see, and found 20 plus, quarter-sized snails. I thought they were pretty cool. Lilli and Maggie ran away from them. Katie kept picking them up, then dropping them back down, saying "EW" and "Gross". Emily was the only one who liked looking at them as much as I did.

If you have children who find bugs and other creepy, crawling things cool, I hope you show them these pictures.

Emily's Zoo Birthday

Emily wanted to go to the zoo for her birthday. We knew it was going to rain, but we went anyway. everything was so pretty, and all the animals were awake and playing, it was great! Princess Emily HAD to have the pink umbrella.

A very common ride for Katie - on Joe's shoulders.
I LOVE that this cute little girl LOVES her daddy!

This was the 1st time for me to see this guy! So proud, so beautiful....so old.

All the kids had wet feet by the end! Yet, we still all had a wonderfully fun time!

Katie the Dancer

So it seems I have yet another dancer in my family!
After Maggie's Talent show last Monday, Katie saw her outfit and HAD to put it on.
She danced around the room and sang, and jumped and twirled. She always copies Maggie whenever she sees her dance. She has great rhythm, and can learn quickly. I am so excited!

SO CUTE!!!

Celebration Park

For Lilli's birthday she wanted to go to Celebration Park. What a nice way to spend the afternoon. At a free park, under cloud cover, with a slight breeze! It was really fun.
Here we are throwing the adle-adles.

Joe, playing the role as, "The Mighty Hunter".

Grandpa and Emily watching the rest of us throw.

Here are the girls, hiking in the hills, looking for drawings on the rocks.
The scenery was amazing!

I guess Kate was going a bit too slow for Lilli, so she had to pick her up.

Here is one of the pictures, Lilli could tell you what it is supposed to be. I have no idea, except cool to see on a boulder.

Here is the Beautiful Celebration Park Bridge.

Maggie was the most nervous about being up so high. That totally through me off! I didn't know she was afraid of anything... I guess I know one thing now!

Maggie thought she had better hold Katie's hand every second so she wouldn't fall off the bridge. There is absolutely no way any one could fall off, but Maggie was still worried.

She walked her down the bridge,

Then, back up again, with Katie fighting her the whole way!

I couldn't resist this picture of Kate on a boulder. She had such a fun time! We all did!

Thanks for the great afternoon family!
