The 1st days of School

Here is Emi on her very 1st day of School.
She was sleepy, and excited all at the same time!
After we had family prayer, she gave Joe a great big hug and kiss and said, "Love you Daddy!"
Joe just about started balling, and I knew I was in for it!
Maggie, this was her 2nd day of school!

Lilli. They got soooo many compliments on their glasses!

Man, my house is going to be quiet today....

As I dropped them off at school, anxiety overtook me.
I didn't want Emily to see that I was going to cry so I held them back
and gave her a great big hug and kiss.
As she closed the door, she very loudly, cause the window was up... said
"I Love you MOM!"
I rolled down the window and said, "I love you too, Emily! Have a GREAT day!"
"K! I LOVE YOU MOM!!!!!"
As she turned around to find her friends on the playground, I started crying.
I watched her go....with tears in my eyes, and said, "Help me to let her go, Lord"
I cried all the way home. When I got home, I gave Joe a hug and cried some more.
Man, this stuff is hard.
Emily's 2nd day of school, she got to ride the bus!
She was so excited!
This is the poem she brought home from school on Thursday.....
The Kissing Hand
It's my first day of Kindergarten
And I'm thinking of you.
I made these precious handprints
So you'll think of me, too.
It's my first day of school
And "The Kissing Hand" is what we read.
It's about a raccoon
Who did just as his parents said.
Like the raccoon's first day of school
I was scared and a little shy.
But because of what you said
I was brave and I got by.
All through the year
I'll make more things for you.
So as I change and as I learn
You can witness my growth, too!
Of course, I cried again after I read that.... and it had her little hand print on the bottom.
Keeping that one FOREVER!

On a lighter note......
I came home from Maggie's gymnastics class the other day to find this....

what does it look like to you?
To me, it looked like Katie and Emily were doing water shots.
When questioned about it....
YEP! They were taking turns drinking water as fast as they could.
At least they are hydrated!
Maybe I should be more aware of the programs I watch!
OOPS!
And Last of ALL!
My cute Katie, made herself a "Baby Crib"
climbed in and read herself a book. It was so cute!
I always want to remember their little fun personalities!
I am soooooo blessed to be a MOM!
What a JOURNEY!
